Programmes


Currently PELUM - Tanzania is running two main projects as follows;
 
1.

Project title : “Networking for Sustainable Land Use and Human
                        Rights” (2007- 2009)


Project Objective:
The overall goal of the project is to build the capacity of PELUM-Tanzania Member Organizations in sustainable land use and human rights.

The purpose of this project is that, within three years (2007-2009), PELUM-Tanzania Member organizations have knowledge and skills to facilitate smallholder farmers on issues related to sustainable land use and human rights.
 

2. Project Title: “Documentation and Communication for promoting and
                        Local Innovation in sustainable agriculture and NRM”
                        (2007 – 2010)


Project Objectives:
The overall goal of the project is to build the capacity of PELUM-Tanzania Member and Partner Organizations and the PROLINNOVA stakeholders in promoting and Institutionalizing participatory and Farmer – centered processes in sustainable agriculture and NRM.

The purpose of this project is that, within three years (2008-2010), PELUM-Tanzania Member organizations and Prolinnova stakeholders have adequate knowledge and skills to facilitate smallholder farmers on issues related to sustainable land use and NRM.

The project aims to enhance the skills of development practitioners and other stake holders towards action learning and encouraging innovation development and dissemination of local innovations for wider use to improve the livelihood of local people.
